Oh Montana, how i love thee. Out there the air just tastes better, there's freedom in the wind & an opportunity for wild around every corner.
The Crazy Mountains in Montana were originally called the "Crazy Woman Mountains" by the Crow People of Southern Montana. Named so after a woman who went insane and lived in them after her family was killed. The Crow say that these mountains have metaphysical powers & use them for vision quests.
This painting of a woman racing bareback across the plains below the mountains, captures the spirit of this wild place.
24" x 36" x 1.5" acrylic painting on gallery wrapped canvas.
